Games & Sports
In addition to academic excellence
equal importance is given to the physical development of children by promoting
interest in games
and sports. The extensive ground in the vidyalaya
provides ample space for outdoors games. Provision is made for the following
outdoor
and indoor games through adequate facilities
like Volley ball court-1 , Basket ball court-2, Kho Kho
court-1, Badminton courts-2, Hockey-1, Handball-1
CURRENT NEWS:-
1 Cluster
level Mini Sports Meet-2010 held at K.V.Kamptee on 28/01/2010
:- Our Vidyalaya brought laurels in this
sports meet by winning 53 Medals including 12-Gold, 32-Silver & 09-Bronze.
2..Satyam Singh 10th std.& Shukriya Meshram 9th
std. of our Vidyalaya have been selected for School Games Federation of India (SGFI) meet
(U-19 group Handball).
3. Ku.Ayushi (IX), Tejaswi P.(XI) & Shukriya M..(IX) selected
for KVS National Sports (HANDBALL GIRLS) Meet, 2009 to be held at New Delhi w.e.f.
16.11.2009 to 20.11.2009.
4 Mast Sushant (XI), Nagraj(XI), Akash(XI) & Satyam(X) selected for KVS National
Sports (Handball Boys) Meet 2009 & Mast.Harsh Sharma(XII)selected for U-19 Cricket
Boys.
5 Cluster level Sports Meet (U-19 Cricket & Basketball boys)
conducted on 10.10.09 in the Vidyalaya.

The compulsory physical education programme planned by the vidyalaya is
carried out by Qualified physical education teachers, its main objectives are
to develop general level of physical fitness and healthy competitive spirit.
Every year the vidyalaya sports day is being conducted in a grand manner. Summer camps for
Basket ball, Hand ball, Cricket and Karate as games for which teams of both
boys and girls have to be sent to regional meet. Coaches are appointed to
prepare teams as well as to train children in these activities like Basketball,
Hockey, Football, Badminton, Handball, Cricket, Judo and Kungfu.The students
of this vidyalaya not only take part in games and sports at school level but
also at cluster level, regional level and National level. The vidyalaya girls
handball team were champions in the Bhopal region three consecutive years.
